Im glad you had a good time. Did you get any autographs or pictures?

My great great uncle Clifford Heffelfinger (#45) played at OSU in 1939. And my cousin Evan Jablonka (#84) plays right now. Anyway, I read if you're related to somebody who has played at Ohio State, they will put you on their practice squad. But that doesn't mean you'll dress for the games though. When I go to Ohio State to major in Sports Journalism, this is what I am going to do. I won't stop there, because I will try to dress and make the team.

Yeah, got autographs from all the current buckeyes there and one from Bobby Hoying and Mike Vrabel too. I didn't take any pics, but there were tons of people snapping pics with players, pics of the interviews, etc., so I bet someone on The Planet was there and took a few snap shots.

Just curious...What did they say about Beanie. I thought he wasn't enrolled, so they haven't seen him yet. Or has he been lifting with the team? It sure sounds like you all had a great time.

Still feeling the effects of Stag Night right now, hangover city. Great session over there. Vrabel performed his normal hilarious antics on stage and really gave MC Dave Ross a rough time.
Went out with the guys afterwards and had a great time at the St Henry Nite Club. Took a few too many shots with Doug. Finkes was up on stage singing along with the band and sounded pretty good. Rory was up trying to sing. Big Steve was pretty good up on stage. Very short and to the point.
Can't remember much else. Did hear plenty of "F___ Michigan," which is always a good thing.

Wells isn't enrolled yet from what I've read, but is in Columbus...I think he did a Charity event with Pittman, Downing, and some others in the Akron area the same day as Stag Night in St. Henry.
...anyway, I know Rory Nicol mentioned how excited the team was to get in a guy of his caliber, another weapon to add to Troy/Pittman/Ginn/Gonzo & Roy Hall. He said the Offense was already clicking at full throttle at the end of the year '05 and now with Wells and he felt himself and Marcel Frost at TE (he said no better combo of tight ends in the Nation) that the Off. would be unstopable. I think both Barton and Datish mentioned Wells (definitely one of them, I think both) also saying how with both him and Pittman and Troy's ability to run, and the pass defenses having to concentrate on Teddy and Gonzo down field, OSU may not ever need to pass the ball (because he said all the lineman hate to pass block (though with Troy back there, if someone does make a mistake in the pass protection TS makes up for it with his moves in the back field).
I just thought it was even more exciting to hear two or three veteran offensive guys seem genuinely pumped to have a Freshman being added to an Offense that was pretty spectacular already. Makes me ready for Spring ball.

I don't have much else to offer, just that all the guys were great. None of them were out of control or excessively drunk. All of them were extremely well behaved and well mannered (well, except Vrabel, but that's just Vrabel).
I got my photo snapped with Datish and Rehring, once I get them, I'll post them. Rehring is BIG!

I saw him at a charity event on Saturday afternoon in North Canton. I didn't think to ask him if he's working out with the team--I just said hello and wished him good luck this fall.

I think Beanie was being brought up because everyone knows who he is and that he's the #1 player in the country. You guys would be surprised at how many of the players follow the recruiting classes. Definately not to the extent that we do, but they're aware of the big namers coming in.

Boy, Sounds like a really cool event.
It also sounds like stuff like that could lead to some trouble. $100 Handshakes and stuff like that. Do they do anything to controll that type of stuff?
Hate to see another one of those anytime soon.
