The fall days are getting cooler, but not nearly as chilly as the relationship nowa days between powerful football programs Glenville High and the University of Michigan.
Glenville High head coach Ted Ginn Sr. says Michigan has been actively refusing to recruit Tarblooder players this season and is effectively boycotting the school - even though 8-0 Glenville is the Plain Dealer's No. 1-ranked high school team and has several star players.
"Our relationship with Michigan is dead, but [UM head coach] Lloyd Carr is the one who's killed it," Ginn Sr. says. "It's disgraceful."

The reason I admire Coach Ginn so much is because he takes city league players (Which I feel the most talent really is) and puts them in a position to succeed, gives them someone to look up to, answer to, for most of us grow up without that male role model, there for we are not disciplined enough to do what it takes to get to that next level. But Coach Ginn is making that happen and the talent that has been there all along he is suddenly getting to the next level. But you better believe that if it were not for Ginn Sr. instead of a stud Fred Lenix who played ball for glennville (just an example) He might just have been another kid with talent without proper guidence that everyone talks about as a could've been.
If only his ways could spread through out Ohio we would have a lot more stud players, and instead of a Garry Russell who goes to Minnie because of grade issues and test issues because a coach is only concerned about the team and thus floats under the radar, you have a 4-5 star prospect thathas it together and ends up at his dream school.
So.............Kudos to Ginn Sr. Because If we all knew the background of these kids we would all be so much more amazed as to what he is doing and really means to that community.

Talking Nifty Nifty, Ted Ginn (Sr) is 50!!

He is the father of one of our favorite team's brightest stars.

He is a father figure to many young men on a fine High School football team

Let's all wish Ted Ginn Sr. A Very Happy 50th Birthday!!

<CENTER>Photo Gallery - Glenville's Ted Ginn Sr. turns 'Half A Hundred'</CENTER><HR>

<HR>

Surprise! <HR>

<HR>

<HR>

Mrs. Ginn was responsible for the celebration. <HR>

Daughter Tiffany was on hand as well. <HR>

Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell presented Ginn with a key to the city. <HR>

You had to be in attendance to understand this photograph! <HR>

Ted Ginn Jr. was all smiles when he first began speaking about his father... <HR>

...and in an instant he was fighting back the tears. <HR>

<HR>

<HR>

<HR>

<HR>

<HR>

And when he was done speaking he presented his dad with a picture of his first collegiate touchdown. <HR>

<HR>

<HR>

The program continued on as each of the other OSU players took a turn at the podium. <HR>

Troy Smith was next... <HR>

<HR>

...then Curtis Terry... <HR>

<HR>

...and finally Jamario O'Neal. <HR>

<HR>

Jeanette Ginn also said a few words about her husband and DNA (again an inside joke). <HR>

And then it was the man of the night's turn to speak. <HR>

He talked about his heritage back to the state of Lousianna... <HR>

...and about how that upbringing was basically responsible for the love that he has for his children. <HR>

Then he proudly took a photo with his young men. <HR>

When the party ended it was picture time and all of the players were more than gracious with their time. <HR>

<HR>

<HR>

They all signed autographs as well for anyone who wanted one. <HR>

<HR>

It was a great night for a great man! <HR>

The second cake couldn't have said it any better!
