Anyone who didnt vote Krenzel needs stabbed in the throat with a butter knife. Seriously, If Troy wins us an NC, then we can talk, but as it stands now, Troy wasnt even able to keep us from losing 2 games last year, with better recievers than we had in '02.

You mean like Spielman's 29 tackles against scUM in '86?
Like I said, it is debatable. However, I do agree that Troy's performances would be near the top...but not necessarily at the top.

McMullen way over Bellasari. I remember wanting Mcmullen more than Krenzel because, and I still do, think he was more accurate and a better passer.

Definitely debatable. I haven't been on this Earth very long so I'm obviously missing out on a lot of games which affects my perspective.

I think that's a little harsh. I think Troy is a better quarterback and did something Krenzel wasn't able to do, go 2-0 as a starter against scUM. It doesn't feel right choosing TS instead of CK but I think he will be the better qb.

The offenses each QB is directing were completely different. In the day of Krenzel, we were more of a ball-control, grind it out, play field position football team and CK was the perfect guy to direct that offense. Now, we have a much more lethal offensive attack. We have more firepower at the WR position, and have the ability to score at any given time and thus, TS is the perfect guy to direct this offense.
If you put Smith in charge of Krenzel's offense, it might've worked, but might not've; Same could be said if you put Krenzel in charge of today's offense.
So, I picked Smith, simply because while he's been there, the offense has gone from one of the worst in the nation to one of the most dangerous.

Good point. I think the offense early in 2005 was much like the 2002 offense. The Texas, SDSU, Iowa, and Penn State games were called very similar to 2002 season except that there was more shotgun with QB draws. I think Smith would have been very similar to Krenzel in a ball control offense. Many quarterbacks could have ran that 2002 offensive system. Smith has already proved he can run a more diverse offensive attack. Troy Smith just has amazed with his ability to complete the 10 to 15 yard pass. Krenzel just wasn't very accurate in the intermediate passing game and McMullen was better in 2003 when Ohio State was not in the 70%-30% run-pass ratio.

Krenzel made some clutch plays no doubt but football is the ultimate team sport. Why don't we just take the entire 2002 football team and put them on the All-2000 team. The other 21 players also went 14-0.

What is your point? This is about the best QB, am I right? I'm fully aware that football is the ultimate team sport, But someone has to lead that team, and some players do more than others. Some people make mistakes as well.
