That's essentially all they did to Michigan's uniforms last year, besides moving the TV numbers from the shoulder pads to the sleeves. I thought Michigan looked really bad with their old home blues, which had that goofy mesh material.

Bucknut 319 talked about Oregon and their ugly uniforms. Cmon Phil Knight basically owns Oregon athletics. Did you read the ESPN article about when he gives and when he doesn't and how much his millions impact the Ducks? What Phil Knight says goes in Oregon.

I can't see much good coming from drastically altering the uniform. I prefer the look we have now. If it isn't broke, don't fix it! I do, however, want to see what their proposed change is--if one even exists. And yes, the rumor does come up every year with the Notre Dame to B10. The only reason I think this might be plausible is the new AD. Not sure what kind of clout he would have on this matter.
