Why are we even talking about firing anyone now... If anything does happen, it won't happen until after the season...
Also- On Dick Tressel... that was a situation where we moved a guy into the position... possibly because the timing of Spencer's departure was such that a 'more desirable' candidate was not available.... Thus, that position might be re-evaluated at a later date.

Man I hope your right kippy, I believe if the non-existent running game continues the press will be all over JT about it and he'll have to address it by getting someone else to take over the o-line responsibilities (even though it wouldn't happen until after the season?) This will be a very difficult year to watch if Bollman doesn't get it turned around real quick. This is freaking Ohio State we are talking about for God's sake! No running game, how much longer can JT let it go on!!!

I will be very disappinted in JT if he feels that he has to respond to pressure from the press or us - and I don't think he will disappoint me on that score.

I'm in agreement here with Oh8ch. I certainly hope that things can be straightened out and that Ohio State will right itself soon.

Riddle me this...JT is still starting Lydell, do you think he is going to fire Bollman, one of his best friends???
Me thinks we could be frustrated about this for some time to come.

like when MoC started as a true freshmen over lydell? there is a big difference between bing loyal to a fault and being fired. tressel didn't get to where he is by being stupid. he will give bollman more time than most, but even he will pull the trigger if forced.
ohiostadium, to answer your question about "how much longer can JT let it go on". 2 seasons in which we loose 2 or more max. if we loose to wisky this weekend this will officially be season #1. "tresselball" is only acceptable so long as you are winning. once you stop winning you best atleast be scoring. if your not doing either your unemployeed.

Nice
I don't think that Dr. Seuss could have put it any better!
Out with Bollman and in with whoever Nebraska's ex-line coach was. They had the same talent and boy could they steamroll teams.

Tressel will never fire Bollman. So what needs to happen?
Will Geiger fire Bollman? Does he have that in him?

Bollman is one of Coach's boys. Just like Snyder, D'Antonio.
If you think that Tressel is loyal to his seniors, he'd take a bullet for one of his staff.
If it's left up to Tressel, he'll sink with the current staff.

If that's true, then the answer to your second question is no - Geiger will never over step his bounds - he'll let JT tie his own noose.
