I have no interest in bashing the guy, but how are people hypocrites for pointing out he made a stupid move, especially in light of past incidents in the program of late?

It will all work out.
My goodness! I'm thinking of what this oline will become.
Boone and Barton at tackle. Datish, arguably our best olineman at guard or center. Downing, Mitchell, Cordle,Rehring, etc.
This oline with these skill players! Are you kidding me!
We cannot go conservative with this level of talent.

These threads seem to have a pre-determined course they seem to follow every time.

Because I'd wager that at least 99% of those calling Boone and his actions stupid have done the exact same thing at one time or another.

...and I'd wager that 99% of those saying that did not have full-ride scholarships to play football at The Ohio State University.
Anyone who drinks and drives is a bonehead, but a scholarship athlete representing his school and program has even more at stake than a DUI.

I'd wager that many of these same folks would now also classify their own behavior as stupid. That sounds like admitting a mistake, rather than hypocrisy.
