If I'm not mistaken, it is usually in August.

In years past that I've attended, it's been the first Friday of August (which is Aug. 4th this year I think). But for some reason, I think I recall reading somewhere, or maybe having heard that it was going to be on a date that first week that wasn't Friday. I recall looking at the date and thinking it was unusual because I was used to Friday...maybe I'm making something up in my mind for lack of OSU Football, grasping for the beginning of the season, but I'll see if I can find anything out if someone doesn't beat me to it.

If you go by the O-Zone, Picture Day has been on August 11th for the past two years.

I can't say how credible it is, but someone at Bucknuts had a graphic of Hawk's int. vs. Texas with "Important Dates" for 2006...everything from NLOI Day, Winter Conditioning, all the Spring Scrimages, and the Season Games, etc. (the dates looked to be legit from what I can tell)...and it has Fall Camp check-in as August 6th and Photo / Media Day as Thursday August 10th.
Hopefully it will be open to the public this year (which I don't believe it was last year) with the meet & greet Team Autograph Session (which they did do last year).

I knew there was a thread about this somewhere. (and even though I already asked in the "autograph" thread, this is probably more appropriate for those who might know)
Anyone know if Photo / Media Day is open to the public this year, & if they will have a Team Autograph session afterwards?

yes, there is going to be an autograph session. 1 of the players told me a while back, but i dont know where it will be at

My great great uncle Clifford Heffelfinger (#45) played at OSU in 1939. And my cousin Evan Jablonka (#84) plays right now. Anyway, I read if you're related to somebody who has played at Ohio State, they will put you on their practice squad. But that doesn't mean you'll dress for the games though. When I go to Ohio State to major in Sports Journalism, this is what I am going to do. I won't stop there, because I will try to dress and make the team.
