Tyler "Tank" Whaley (official thread)
So I never even heard of Tyler until the draft. Man, he does look like a "Tank" though. 1st center taken in the draft.

I've seen him on the sidelines the last few seasons but just thought he was just another walk-on. How cool would it be for him to work his way up to some real PT...

Although hes listed at over 6', hes actually more like 5'8" and 270 lbs. Ive heard that hes actually the strongest guy on the team, and that hes a great center because of how short he is.

That makes a lotta sense. I can imagine he doesn't lose too much because he's able to get so much lower than the opponent

You say 5'8" while the official site says 6'1". While there is always some exaggeration in measureables on websites and official programs, I doubt he's as short as you claim he is. There's a huge difference between 5'8" and 6'1".
