That's true - a fair point

Troy among the top QBs in the draft next year?
Sounds like a vBet in the making.

Let's put it this way, I'd be damn shocked to see Smith get picked over Quinn. Quinn plays in a pro system, and has great size. Smith is a remarkable college QB, but I doubt that he'll do much in the NFL as a QB. Look at Josh Harris from BGSU, he was awesome in college......about the same height, and now he's struggling to make a roster.

IMO Troy will be lucky to be drafted on the first day. He isn't as big or as quick as Vince Young and is much slower than a Mike Vick as well. I just don't think his game is going to transfer well to the NFL.

Neither are half the guys in the league.
Drew Brees-6'0" 209 lbs.
Jake Delhomme-6'2" 215 lbs.
Brett Favre-6'2" 222 lbs.
Jeff Garcia(he used to be good)-6'1" 200 lbs.
Rex Grossman(not the greatest but still a starter)-6'1" 218 lbs.
Donovan McNabb-6'2" 240 lbs.
Steve McNair-6'2" 230 lbs.
Michael Vick-6'0" 215 lbs.
Kurt Warner-6'2" 219 lbs.
There are plenty of guys who aren't 6'5" but still having long careers.

OSU tried to use Troy at other positions and he never did much with it, and wasn't a very good KR when they put him back there. If he does have a future in the NFL it will be at QB because he isn't fast enough to play another position like WR or RB.

...and a lot of those guys were relatively low draft picks because they aren't "prototypical".
