Adams is a beast. I can see the Pace comparisons. Really, the only major difference I see between them is Adams doesn't have that raw power and strength yet. That'll soon change.

at this point i see the pace comparisons via athletic ability. any time in hs you can split a kid of adams size out wide and he can dominate in space. thats special...

Shugarts and Adams or Pace and Adams?

From watching his highlight reels, Adams has almost rediculous athletic talent. However from what I've seen, he needs to work on his footwork and technique. That of which will come under Bollman..

Of course there is always room for improvement, but his footwork is very good at this stage...

Tape is great and all but if Adams becomes 1/2 the collegiate player Pace was I will not be disappointed. That is how highly I think if Pace.

Agreed...regardless of position, Pace was likely at least one of the most dominant college players in the last 15-20 years. Adams is a great one and may have that type of potential but we will see.

Adams will be more than half as good as Pace...You can write that down...

Same things were said about Boone...too much of a crapshoot to make that prediction in the first place, but then you toss in just how good OPace truly was.

Pace just wasn't good...he was dominant. You often hear about offenses gameplanning around a defensive player...but defensives had to scheme around Big O.

Of the videos I've seen of the 3. Brewster looks the most ready to play and advanced.
Then I think maybe Shugarts a little over Adams. Shugarts looks more physical. Adams more athletic.

I understand that it is a crapshoot throwing that out there...

But from seeing Big Mike in person many times, seeing his game, his game film, and just from reading what the big man has to say about tOSU, how he has recruited, and how he is going to work to make himself better I will put my name on that statement...

Also it is hard like you say to put a tag on how good Pace actually was, and to put a tag on how good half as good as him actually is, so I guess I just refrain the comment...

And maybe make a statement like saying he will be one of the most dominant lineman that we have ever had here at tOSU...

Pace was something else. I just can't see Adams ever being half the run blocker that Pace was at OSU.

I disagree. Orlando Pace finished fourth in the Heisman voting as a Junior in 1996, receiving 87 1st-place votes and appearing as a Top 3 pick on over a third of all the ballots submitted that year. He won the Outland Trophy, and is the only player to win the Lombardi twice. He was so dominant, a new stat (the pancake) was invented because of him. He blocked for Eddie George and Pepe Pearson in some of the greatest games in OSU history: '95 against Notre Dame - George rushed for 207, '95 against Illinois - George rushed for 314, '96 against Notre Dame - Pearson rushed for 173.

Pace was the #1 overall pick in the '97 draft, as a junior! ... went to seven consecutive Pro Bowls, has a Super Bowl ring ...

It isn't difficult to quantify at all. Pace was one of maybe four or five of the most dominant college players at any position in history. It's foolish to even attempt to compare 17 and 18 year old high school players to Pace.
