And... to think, I was worried when Korey Stringer left... for about a nanosecond...

Speaking of Korey Stringer, if any of these guys are as good as him... we'll be doing just fine...

Ironically, Dryden, I think CB40 is right... its pretty hard to quantify... (though you left out Big Ten Offensive player of the year in '96 ) the guy was just unbelievable.

Well, for brevity - and the fact that this is Adams's thread, not Pace's - I left off a lot of stuff, such as the fact that Pace didn't surrender a sack to his man in '95 or '96.

There was a Monday night game two years ago where the Rams played the Colts. Coming into that game, Dwight Freeney was riding a high -- leading the NFL in sacks. What was his line after matching up against Orlando Pace? One tackle and a forced fumble. That's it! One lousy tackle!

I just find it hard to believe, as with Alex Boone before, that anyone can go to a high school game, or watch a few games worth of high school film, and compare a kid dominating his high school division to one of the most dominant OTs to go through college and the NFL, for the last 14 years running (barring his triceps injuries).

Compare Adams to Stringer, or Joe Thomas, or Jake Long, or anybody else that is really, really good. But Pace is on another level, and any comparison to him is way premature.

If you watch those videos of Mike you do see a lot of Orlando Pace "qualities" in him. He hardly ever just blocks one guy. He slides to another defender almost every running play. The guys he's blocking dont get near the quarter back, ever. The thing I see in Mike right now that is not Pace like is the finish on some plays. He makes a big hit on the guy he's blocking but doesnt always drive him with his legs. That will definitely change at the next level. Mikes pass blocking is way beyond anyone else we have coming in or any other high school player I've watched video on anyway.

To be like Orlando Pace he'll have to work his tail off for sure. Anyone want to bet that Mike wears that #75 for a reason though.

I saw the kid once this year live...I figured I would have to peel my eyes off Stoney for a few plays to focus on Adams.

Needless to say, by the end of the game, I was having to peel my eyes off Adams b/c he was kicking the crap out of Westerville Central's D-line.

I haven't seen the other "top 100" up close and personal...but I do know that Mike Adams could easily see the field as a true freshman next year - his body is college ready - he is built similar to Boone (now - not Boone as a frosh). Adams is all muscle...

Like tsteele said Adams is also coming in early...

As for Skinner lets just hope for the best, b/c I truly believe he is one of our best returning lineman next year...

If he doesn's play tackle I believe he plays guard...
