OMG!! Simply dominating. Most plays he blocks 2 guys, and on one play even the ref was not safe. Big Mike doesnt care! And how about the wheels?? He ran step for step with whoever that WR was (fairchild-burner, Stoney-burner) He will dominate you. That tape was SICK!! So pumped!!

I know. It's stunning to see someone that big that can move that fast.

Big Mike moved up to #3 overall in Rivals Top 100. Looks like they finally figured it out.

Mike Adams in that rivals article is rated as one of the best OTs ever seen! High praise indeed! I can't wait to see him in full pads playing for the Buckeyes. I'd like to run behind this tackle. He's gonna make a 3-star recruit look 5-star!

...that is if the staff starts him at RT and he can beat out Bryant Browning, who was considered our 6th man on the line at the start of the year.
I'm just thrilled that we ACTUALLY have depth on the line, whether Adams & Co. starts or not. I've been worried about injuries on the line the past 3 or so years because of how thin we are (2 walk-ons this past year and Josh Kerr our back-up LT? You kidding me??). Block O changes everything. Hopefully next time we play a LSU it won't be our O-Line getting the blame after the game. |

That could certainly be a possibility and I've though that Mike could have a shot at least. I had previously though Shugarts may be the most college-ready OL we have coming in but the AA game changed my perspective on that. I think J.B. has the best run blocking technique but Adams is just ready to go in both aspects, especially in the passing game. I can't imagine anyone touching our QB with Boone and Adams at tackle. Either way we are going to have some serious depth at OL.

I remember one play during the AA game where JB whiffed big time and McGuffie got left out to dry. That was a straight drive block, too. But other than that, I thought he was excellent. I do not think he is the most college ready. That honor goes to: Big Mike.
In terms of young linemen, pass blocking is the hardest thing to pick up (from what I understand). And in that department, Big Mike is top notch.

Don't you think part of that is due to the fact that most high school football teams focus on the running game, thus the lineman are better at run-blocking coming in? Either way, Big Mike will definitely provide some much-needed depth the second he steps on the practice field.
