Miller out tonight

It appears that Ohio State will be without backup left tackle Andrew Miller for tonight's game at Indiana. A source close to the team said Miller was suffering from flu-like symptoms and did not make the trip.

Just read this....too bad for Miller, but it's time for Big Mike to show what he can do for an entire game! Could be his chance to make his case to be the unquestioned starter moving forward.

Adams the latest flu victim...

That, and wondering who the flu bug might strike next. Last week it hit center Mike Brewster at midweek, though he was able to play at Indiana. But backup left tackle Andrew Miller had to stay home with the flu and was isolated from the team once it returned over the weekend.

Now starting left tackle Mike Adams has it, along with several other players Tressel said he could not remember. But the point was, the flu bug has taken roost, and though the players keep being reminded how they can help from spreading it amongst themselves, and though most took flu shots two weeks ago, once they're out in the general student body, they're at risk.

According to Bollman, Adams with some sort of leg/knee injury... he'll have it looked at this week.

Tress said in his presser today that Adams is out at least two more games.

-- Peterson said left tackle Mike Adams had surgery on his knee. Tuesday, Jim Tressel said Adams would miss at least two more games, so it's likely the surgery was arthroscopic. Jim Cordle and Andrew Miller will both play some at left tackle this week.

The Buckeyes could also get an extra boost on the offensive line this week with the anticipated return of left tackle Mike Adams, who has missed the last three games with an injured knee.

"Adams comes back this week probably with limited volume, probably maybe a third of today's practice, and then see how he handles it," Tressel said.

"It would be a heck of a bonus for us if all of a sudden he got back to the point where he could help us on Saturday."
