Someone stated above, the NFL halftime is 15 minutes, not 12. I doubt that cutting halftime alone would make that much of a difference (5 minutes only). Knocking off the TV timeouts would save much more time. I also sweat missing the kickoffs of OSU games when they're playing late afternoon games, but I'd rather they cut out the bull[censored] TV timeouts than to mess with college tradition. Plus, I guarantee you, that if they were to cut out the 5 miutes of halftime, they'll just say, "Hey, now we have 5 more miniutes available for more commericials"...you watch and see.

The problem isnt with halftimie. The problem is with all the tv timeouts.
I remember seeing something where the bowl games were lasting about 4hrs or more. That was b/c of all the stupid commercials and they are not going to stop with them, b/c that is what makes them money.
Everything nowadays is about money.

My biggest beef is the "First and 10. Smith drops back, throw to Gonzales, out of bounds for 14 yards. That first down is brought to you by Dodge."
No it wasn't. It was brought to us by the players on the field. The marketing force-feed is getting pretty heinous in sports these days. Let us watch the game, and hear stats, commentary, etc. I already don't want to hear 3 minutes of commercials during a change of possession, I DEFINITELY don't want to hear it between plays.
