Which street will be renamed for Coach Tressel?
Since somebody brought up the hypothetical retirement of Jim Tressel in another thread, it made me wonder...
In the early going, Jim Tressel is putting up results that rival Woody Hayes. Assuming his success continues for many more years, do you think a street will be named for Coach Tressel like one was for Hayes? Which one do you think it will be? I think it'll happen someday, and that Cannon Dr. will be renamed. ![]() |

There is in fact a Michigan Avenue. It's a little bit off campus but ripe for a name change.

http://image.maps.yahoo.com/mapimage...t3sYFdtXsMYrSv My first choice for Jim Tressel Blvd. Of course, for the week of The Game, Michigan Avenue is changed to Buckeyes Ave. or something like that, by the city. National Champions Lane Ave. was pretty sweet for while it lasted. Maybe it'll make another appearance . |

Michigan Ave. is where you go to get kegs from Miller.
They could rename Tuttle Park Place to Jim Tressel Way. |

There's a Navarre Avenue in my town. I cringe everytime I speed by it.

I think we should rename the street Ann Arbor's Town Hall is on.

My bet is that it will be a street on West Campus or over by the WHAC or a section of another road...and that it will be a secondary name, like Steinbrenner Way and Champions Ave are

I would think Tressel would get a permanently-renamed road, like our other longtime championship coaches Woody Hayes and Fred Taylor. Cannon, Tuttle Park, Millikin and Woodruff would all be good choices since they are right by the 'Shoe.

I think it's safe to say that 23 from about King or so up to the state line is "Tressel Memorial Highway"
