is osu really pursuing mcguffie? the way they talk of playing together would give some pause about osu's chances. however, package deals rarely materialize as planned. |

I included that beacuse that came as news to me...once I see McGuffie on campus for a visit or hear him talking about an OSU coach visiting him then I will believe we are pursuing him. Until then I think it is just the buddy system at work. But as I have said numerous times, and as you have pointed out, package deals almost never work out.

Michigan is doing anything they can at this point to turn the last 2 games results of the last 6 seasons around. They might not be desperate at this point yet, but having lost either to tOSU or their bowl game in each of the last 6 seasons (4 times they did both), I guess you could say they would really love to land J.B.... And getting his father to AA could only help their cause, whether or not this is the first time he has been there.

Keep thinking Michigan has no shot. Tell yourself whatever you have to. I'm not saying he's going to end up here, just saying that we do have a shot. |

Not a big deal...coaches can be paid to work the camps...that pay helps cover expenses such as travel and camp fees.

OK, I know I am a Michigan homer and a newbie here but what is this "sinking ship" and "desperation." OSU is probably the leader for JB but IMO Michigan has a shot. And it's not out of desperation.

It was one poster's take... supermario and grad already clarified the situation.

Seriously though, our depth chart has to be very inviting to Shugarts, Long, Jenkins, Adams, and Brewster. IMO they are all good enough to see PT as RS freshman and in some cases true freshman. Although you don't necessarily want true freshman seeing significant PT. Especially in multiple positions on the line. |

Surprised JB said that about tOSU's depth chart.
Has he seen Michigan's? This kid could come in as a true frosh and be in the two deep at LT. We're losing Jake Long to the NFL after this season. Steve Schilling is more of a RT and while JB's former HS teammate Mark Ortmann has been coming along fairly well he's not in JB's leauge as an athlete. |
