Yes, it was Archie and Pete in 1975.
Arch - 262 for 1450 yards (2nd Heisman year)
Pete - 227 for 1059 yards (and 25 TDs, still the tOSU record)
And yet, that same year, Corny Greene was voted the Big 10 MVP.

Pitt has that next gear that Beanie lacks. Evident in the runs against Michigan, Beanie had to run over the safeties in the end - Pitt was extended the distance between his persuers once he hit the second level of coverage.
how can you question his speed on a 52 YARD TD and got tackled in the endzone.
I think with the QB package we have starting next year, you will see the same shotgun sets (if gonzo and ginn stay) or alot of pro/power I again. Like 2003 with Ross.[/quote]
next year is going to be like it when, Smith took over after Krenzel but, OSU has the 2 rb's and about 6 wr's. Heck, let me be the QB .

Next season is going to be so much fun to watch.
Both RB'S doing the carries like USC/AUBURN did, having 2 great backs that opened up the passing game. Got to love that but, Pittmen will get more chances then Wells. We all know how Tressel shows respect to his seniors/nfl chances.
All the great wr's options with a new QB to. Once, a team tries to stop the run its, passing time. I really think that might even be more dangerous next year.

IMO, Ginn is gone. As much as I hate to say it, I think that he has too much good going for him, especially if we won the NC this year. I just hope that Gonzo stays, because being the #1 guy next year, a captain, and already have proved himself nationally will be a huge help towards his development and career.
Either way, Pittman (who I'm 99% sure will stay) and Wells will help the new QB immensely, not to mention a gold mine of talent at the WR position anyways.
