ND insiders premium
Wilson will make a decision next week- The Irish cleared the way for him to play BBall- still don't know if tOSU has done the same- the rumors abound that he will choose ND. IMO this will be a tough one to lose |

Wilson changed his mind and will not decide this week. He can't decide between tOSU, Pitt and ND so he will take his visits. I like this delay for tOSU. IMO he was headed to ND and maybe a "shoe" visit on gameday will help our chances. |

This is obviously just my opinion, and it's probably not worth a whole lot, but you get the feeling Wilson was thinking Notre Dame but as the time came to pull the trigger he had second thoughts. I've read that Wilson is a good basketball player but he projects to be a better football player. Maybe now he'll get a chance to talk to Coach Matta, if he hasn't already, to see if he can play. JT let Salley play both so there shouldn't be a problem there. No matter where Wilson ends up I agree with 86, this delay did nothing but help the Buckeye cause.

rivals premium He still lists tOSU, ND and Pitt as his 3 favorites. All three have given him the OK to play BBall. He is not in hurry to make a decision and will take in some visits/games this Fall. IMO positive developments continue for tOSU. Hopefully we close the deal when he visits the Shoe on gameday. |

IMO, Matta agreeing to give Wilson a shot at basketball is key. With OB's firing that issue was very much up in the air. Now that Matta has confirmed that the opportunity is there, I think it will be hard for Wilson to turn down tOSU. I still think ND is a stong competitor on this one, though.

IMO that is exactly what Wilson was waiting for, and the reason why he delayed his commitment (which probably would have been to ND). I think he really does want a shot at playing hoops, but OSU may have been his favorite regardless. Now he has the best of both worlds.

Agree totally with you Clevebucks and have thought the same all along. The writing is on the wall and I think the home town school is the one to beat now.

Wilson is still trying to decide among Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Pitt; his brother goes to OSU, and that is "a big plus".

Nice pics on the other site. Glad to know that St. V still has not put any money into their football field.

He definitely passes the look test. I'd have to think that the perfomances this past weekend did nothing to hurt our chances with him whatsoever. Pitt didn't play but ND stunk it up and the OSU defense proved they can be just as stingy without Dantonio and the 6 defensive starters drafted in the NFL draft this year. Plus, I think the DE depth chart looks good to a potential recruit from a quantity standpoint, though the quality of those there after this year is very very high. Any word when he may pull the trigger and announce?
