Looks pretty promising with regards to Lawrence Wilson. He could get some pretty good playing time and its so close to his home. Come play for the Buckeyes Mr.Wilson and we'll treat you so well ... GO BUCKEYES !!!

Boy I hope this is correct. I really think we need this kid. I would take him and Worthington and maybe another DE. I think we really miss Will Smith on this defense. That is not a knock on Richardson, Kudla, etc but I just don't see us putting pressure on the edges like we did last year.

I agree with bluffton, we do need this kid. Our pass rush has been pretty much non existent this year. Wilson, Williams and Worthington would be a great haul. Add Barrow and Gholston to the mix and we should be set at DE for a while.
According to Mark Rea in an article on BSB it looks like Wilson to the Buckeyes will happen sooner rather than later. I hope he's right.

I am very cognizant of the history and emotional ties a St V (Fighting Irish) kid would have to both ND and tOSU... I am sure this is a very difficult choice for him... Some of St V-M's biggest and most influential alumni are ND alums...
But then you toss in the impact S. Cotton must have.. plus LeBron really is an OSU fan... and all three of these guys played sports together for years... I predict he goes Scarlet and Gray...

I think the only true ties between St. V and Notre Dame are the nicknames of "Fighting Irish." There was always this thought that St. V students had to be fans of Notre Dame. Of the last few players to play at either school more went to OSU. Frank Stams went to ND and Jason Simmons and Sian Cotton were/are Bucks.
The best player is going to play no matter which school. I think the difference will be OSU will be more competitive. He just needs to make the decision that is best for him.

you'd be surprised how many of the St V generation that would be recruit-generations' fathers & grandfathers went to ND... and those are influential opinion leaders... St V alumni just put together something like $17M for improvements and key members in that group are ND alums.. I know those folks... there's pressure there I'm sure...
but you are right... since this one doesn't involve who's paying the tab.. the OSU sporting folks you name can have a bigger impact... which is why I predicted OSU the winner too...

NJ- I actually thought the same thing but it turns out that Lawrence went to Walsh Jesuit when Sian was at SVSM. He transferred to SVSM after Sian graduated. But it seems he is still friendly with all the Akron Bucks (Sian and Tony Pittman) but no ex-teammate bond.

Good point. I don't think there are any Walsh grads at either ND or OSU right now. The last Walsh grads at OSU I remember were Vrabel and O'Neil.
One other thing. If WIlson is still interested in playing BB in college I think it would be easier to play for the Bucks than ND.
