OK, so they have one, but it wasn't up to their normal standards.

Best: peterson, but needs to be healthy unlike last year.
(the kid from texas is going to be good also)
Overrated: Mike Hart. 1 year, only 1 year that he did really well in the big ten. big ten is know for he running game. hart has been hurt and has not accomplished anything
Underrated: Pittman, but i have a feeling that after a few games this year he will be know all over the country even more.

My answer is going be about as Vanilla as the rest but in a 2 reson formatt:
Best: 1a. Peterson 1b. Steve Slaton. We all know about Peterson, but little about Slaton. You dont rush for over 1,100 yards while sitting out the first 3 games and being second on the depth chart to superstud recruit Jason Gwaltney. The kid averaged 136 yards a game after VaTech, had 5 TDs against Louisville and 204 yards & 3 TDs in the Sugar Bowl.
Overrated: Mike Hart or Marshawn Lynch. Hart had one good year and then a very dismal 662 yard sophmore follow up, possibly being injury prone comes into play. I see Hart as another Lydell Ross - tons of potential but cant cash in all the way. Marshawn Lynch had enough hype last year to fill the Rose Bowl but only cranked out 1200 yards. He was expected to be the 2nd best back in the league (being Bush) but didnt come close after suffering from a hand injury.
Underrated: Pittman or Rafael Little from Kentucky. Little went from 265 yards as a freshman to over 1000 yards as a sophmore in a league that boasts a healthy crops of defenders. He broke for over 100 yards 5 times last year, including a 200 yard performance against Vanderbilt, 124 yard performance against Auburn and a 5 yard run average. All of this and no listed fumbles. Tack on his 450 yard reception (long of 65, 10 yd average) performance and this runningback has the makings of something special. If he had a decent line, he could very well have a 2,000 yard season.

Best: Adrian Peterson
Overrated: Mike Hart, Darius Walker, and Jamaal Charles all get votes from me
Underrated: Antonio Pittman by a landslide -- he gets absolutely no respect for running for 1300+ yards in the Big Ten. The way the media looks past him, you'd think he ran for 445 yards last year.

Well -
Best - Peterson
Based on past production in his Freshman year it would be really hard to look past Peterson. He could solidify his position as the best with a productive season when he will, once again, be the first target of opportunity for both the OU offense, and opposing defenses.
Honorable mention Michael Bush, Louisville. I have seen them play games where he has totally lit up the opposition in ways that remind me of his West Coast namesake (and current NO Saint).
Over-rated? It would be so easy to pick Hart. But I honestly think that would be unfair. Instead I'll slot in Jamaal Charles, more so because of all the hype I have heard in recent months from certain visiting contributors.
Under-rated. Hard to disagree with the board sentiment, and I will concur, Pittman deserves more love than he gets from the media.

Best: Peterson
Overrated: Jamaal Charles (fragile and has to prove his worth without Vince)
Underrrated: Pittman

Best: Peterson
Overrated: Marshawn Lynch- I want to see more production for a PAC 10 RB.
Underrated: Pittman- Easy choice.

Best: Peterson.
Overrated: Don't really have one, Peterson is the only one getting hype, so it's kinda hard to say someone else is getting to much hype.
Underrated: Deff. Nd's RB Walker.
