Rate a Position....Part 2..RB
The next postion that we will be rating is the RB.
Best RB: Peterson - hands down the best RB in thr country this coming season.
Overrated RB: Leonard (Rutgers) - good player, but not as good as people think he is.
Underrated RB: Pittman - had a huge season this past year. People do not realize how great he really is. Quietest 1300+ yds ive ever seen.

Best: Adrian Peterson - Don't even waste your time typing anybody elses name.
Overrated: Mike Hart - What has he really done against anybody good?
Underrated: Yvenson Bernard - Guy put up 1300 yards and scored 13 times and I've never heard of him.

Best- Peterson...just a stud.
Overrated- Gotta go with Lorenzo Booker...never been impressed with him
Underrated- Pittman obviously, and I think Iowa's Albert Young is a really good back that doesn't get much pub.

Best: Adrian Peterson. I think he's going to run away with this thread for this catergory.
Overrated: Michael Hart. Had a GREAT freshman campaign but that was two years ago. I need to see some consistancy [against upper echelon teams] and some more durability before I annoint him the "next great one." [Booker is REAL close to this spot]
Underrated: Darren McFadden. Stud, and was only a freshman last year. With the O line talent projected to be in Arkansas, I expect BIG things.

Best- Who am I to blow against the wind? Peterson
But don't you find it funny that we rag on OU/Big 12 football all the time on this board and then turn around and say that this guys numbers are the real deal? I mean, who's he running against... other than Texas is there a solid defense in the league?
And how can you talk up OSU/Big Ten football and then state that Hart and Henne are over rated? Doesn't make sense to me.
And following my own logic, I would have to put Pittman as the guy doing the greatest good for the least amount of press. But watch out for Chris Wells.

Best: Marshawn Lynch, Cal - missed two games plus split time with Justin Forsett and still rushed for over 1,200 yards and 10 TDs in 2005 w/ a 6.4 ypc average. Now gets to run wild in the new spread-offensive scheme brought over from Northwestern. If Sutton can do 1,500 in eight Big-Ten games, Lynch could crank out 2,000 in nine Pac-Ten games.
Overrated: Jamaal Charles, Texas - no disrespect to Charles or the Texas fans, but this kid comes surrounded in a ridiculous amount of hype considering he's never been the teams' leading rusher or even solidified starter. He's a terrific change of pace back off the bench, good for 10+ carries and is a legit home run threat with his speed, but he shouldn't be stealing preseason All-America honors from proven 1,300 yard guys who tote 25-carries a game.
Underrated: Tyrell Sutton, Northwestern - 1,500 yards on the ground, 400 yards receiving, 18 total TDs, near 6 ypc average. Dismissed as either too small or a product of the system, he's the most accomplished back in the Big-Ten right now.
OSUScoonie12, I take exception to having Brian Leonard from Rutgers in your overrated category. Two reasons: 1) Nobody from Rutgers could ever be overrated, because they're getting virtually zero national press. 2) Leonard is not a RB, he's a "true" prototypical FB; Ray Rice is the RB at Rutgers.

Rice and Leonard had split time. Rice got the yards but Leonard got the TDs. Leonard had 17 total TDs on the season. People were saying that Leonard is a great RB/player. I don't believe he is that great.
If i had to choose another overrated player i'd say Charles from Texas. He wasn't that great. Young was the one that opened everything up for him. I don't think he will have a season this year like he did last year.
