Need some help!!!

A long read but I need some help. Thank you in advance...
A few months ago my grandfather was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. After a pretty serious regimen of radiation he seemed as though he might come out of it although he wouldn't really tell anyone what the doctors were really saying. Last week we found out they have given him 3 - 6 months to live. They can't really even try anymore treatment because he is very weak now and the doctors don't think he could handle the treatment. Although the news literally made my heart hurt, I feel very lucky to have had all 4 of my grandparents for 33 years. (My other grandfather died 2 years ago last March of cancer.) He has had a long wonderful life. I am not ashamed to tell you that I am a man at 35 years of age and I am crying my eyes out as I write this. This man was like a second father to me and it really hurts to watch him wither away. My wife and I went to see him and my grandma this weekend and he seems pretty comfortable with the fact that the end is near. He doesn't eat much and his strength is really low. It is hard for him to walk to the mailbox and back. All of this background is leading to my question that I can't seem to find an answer to and I am hoping some of you can help me. While we were there I told him that if gets his strength up and he feels up to it I would take him to the N. Illinois game. You have never seen an old man's face perk up and his attitude change in your life. It was if he had a goal. He hasn't been to game for a very long time. As a student I have a student ticket and my spouses ticket. I have never had any problem getting anyone in on my wife's ticket so I am not really worried about that. I am wondering if any of you are familiar with the stadium's policy on disabled people coming to the game. There is no way that he will be able to climb many steps so I will have to get a wheelchair in there. If someone knows who to call where I could find out some info I would really appreciate it. I tried calling the ticket office and all they really told me is that as long as I have my ID and my wife "spouse ID" I could get him in but didn't really say anything about disability seating.

i once took a letter from a doctor to the ticket office in St johns b4 the game and they gave me a pass to get to use the elevators in the stadium

Persons with Accessibility Issues
Reserved season seating for persons in wheelchairs is located at the top of AA deck. Other accessible seating sections are located in the top rows of A and B decks in South Stands. Accommodations should be made in advance for seating in these areas. If accessible seating is needed day of game, then please visit Guest Services located near Gate 7. Other questions concerning accessiblity seating can be directed to the Athletic Ticket Office at (614) 292-2624.

Elevators are located near sections 7, 10 and 37. These elevators may be used for individuals needing assistance to their assigned seats in B deck or C deck.

Disability parking lots are located on the north side of St John Arena and Jesse Owens North (east of St. John Arena). Patrons with state issued disability placards will be allowed to park in these lots and are required to pay the $10 day of game parking fee. Shuttles will run from these parking lots to the east side of Ohio Stadium. Questions concerning disability parking should be directed to Transportation and Parking Services, (614) 292-9341.

Parking - Disability
Disability Parking will be located in the paved parking lots North of St. John Arena. This area will be accessible from the East and all vehicles will enter from Tuttle Park Place. A current state issued disability placard is required to gain admittance into this parking area. A shuttle will transport fans from the North St. John Arena Lot to Gate 18 located on the east side of Ohio Stadium. This shuttle will operate from 3 hours prior to kickoff until one hour after the game. Any RV/Camper with a disability placard or permit will be sent to WEST CAMPUS to park on Carmack Road. Shuttle service will be available from west Campus to the Sisson footbridge.

Hey Buddy, sorry to hear about your grandfather's condition. That sort of thing can be tough on everyone, but it sounds like he has the right attitude. What could be better than an OSU game. I'm just sorry I don't have tickets for the N. Illinois game with you guys so I could shake his hand. But, me and the relish queen (inside joke for everyone else reading this) are looking forward to another season with you guys. Take care and give him our prayers.
