Talking game 3,
D'Andrea
Freeman
& Kerr
Kerr has the ability to shift as well & has so on the scout team.
By seasons end , I would look at Chad H. as a starter.....
I hope Mikie D' can stay healthy!

I wouldn't be shocked if Laurinaitis was moved to Middle at some point in his career (whether this year or next, etc.). In the same breath, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he stays put and has a star-type career at Sam.
It seems that the coaches always say: "Whatever it takes to get the best 3 guys on the field." (or something to that effect) If that means Homan, a healthy mDa, or whoever, I'm sure whoever is moved to this position or that, it's not to "hide" certain weaknesses so to speak, but more to accomodate putting the 3 best players out there at one time and in positions to make plays.

And Carpenter never played DE either, now did he? He may have "slid down" to the end of the line in certain pass rushing situations, but he never played DE.
As far speed at MLB, D'Andrea is the fastest LB aside from Freeman. Kerr is no slower than Schlegel was, and Schlegs played good enough to get drafted in the third round. Speed at MLB is not a concern.
Stick to taking photos...

Going with Freeman and Lil' Animal on the outsides with Kerr on the inside. I just dont think D'Andrea will ever be healthy enough to sustain a full season, let alone a starting position. I stand behind him 100% as a Buckeye, but he has missed way to much PT over the past few years due to injuries (to garner a starting role in the middle this season). He will be used in certain sets and maybe to blitz off the ends in a Carpenter-esq fashion, but other than that, Ill stand behind my three.
I think we will also see Larry Grant, as he doesnt have much time here at OSU as well as Hoobler and maybe Terry on certain sets.

Carp lined up at DE a lot... way too much to back up the doubters who told Taos last summer that he was crazy to suggest Carp might get a look at DE.

what's your point here? I've said many times a healthy mDa is the starter.

How exactly do you know how fast Kerr is?
When I watched him this spring, Kerr was strong in the middle, but seemed to be a liability outside of the tackles. Oh wait, I forgot I was supposed to stick to taking photos.
