Put your money where your mouth is!
This is an idea I have had in the back of my mind for some time (you know, back there with the Olsen twins and putting a new deck on the back of the house).
What if we could back up our strong opinions on what was going to happen this year (reference Lydell Ross for example) with some sort of friendly wager. NOTE: I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT TALKING ABOUT MONEY CHANGING HANDS!
Perhaps we could set up some sort of 'expertise' points - something akin to reputation points. If you got into it with somebody on whether Lydell was going to go over 1000 yards this season you could agree to a wager - perhaps 5 'expertise' points. Winner takes all.
BP could stake everybody to some number of starting points and 'we' (as in those same folks who have done all the other wonderful technical work on this site) could set up a system to track official wagers and point totals. You could go in the hole or build a fortune - depending on how much of an 'expert' you really were.
This is in no way intended as a front for real gambling or anything that would put Clarity or the site at risk (that would be tough to do in any case since we are all remote and this isn't a pay site and nobody has anybody's CC info). Just a way to allow folks to stand behind some of their strong opinions.
Thoughts?
(Out of the box I would see the need to prevent folks from making sucker bets with alternate IDs or willing shills just to build their bankroll.)

Works for me. Only people like LouisBastardo need to agree to never come back here once they go "broke".

Keeping track is the easy part. The forum now supports this as a built in feature. Everyone is starting with 500 BP$.

Clarity, you rock. I don't suppose there is any way to ban the losers like Jose Butt Sniffer when they go broke?
