TE or WR, he will be a great player.

Either way it is splitting hairs...We know what his greatest assests are... |

He may well add another 15-20 pounds, which makes sense because he is 6-5, but it's a stretch to say at this point that he will be in the 250-270 range that you need to play TE. Keep in mind, he was listed as being 190 pounds just a couple of years ago. Also, to augment the case that he will be a TE, you need to demonstrate that he will be an effective blocker, and being able to block is not something that just comes with breaking the 250 pound weight mark. So far, Stoneburner has been used exclusively as a WR on offense.

The kid is listed as 6'5", 220 (and who knows how old that info is), and he's barely halfway through his junior year in high school. It is far from a stretch to see him at a solid 6'6", 255-260 by his sophomore year in college.

US Army Combine (warning PDF)
Last month, Jacob measured in at 6'5", 220 lbs, 32" vert, 4.54 40, 4.37 shuttle. Excellent numbers, especially when you notice how well his 40 stacks up against the field (maybe a slow track?). |

Probably the most impressive forty time at the combine when taking size into account. Almost nobody got down into the sub-4.6 range, and not at 220 lbs.
For the Roy Hall comparison, Hall could've been that type of player if he was more open-minded, imo. |

I know I'm late to the game, but this is great news!

My thoughts exactly...Beckum is used as a serious pass threat more than a blocker(though he does block some). Great offer and he could do some real damage in the passing game. I think Rudolph and Stoneburner are 2 completely different players...Jake is more of a deep threat and flex guy, with Rudolph being a more complete blocker and threat down in the red zone. Good thing is that Jake can be a threat in the red zone as well and Rudolph can go to the intermediate routes as well. Bring 'em both in.
