The offers that these Coffman kids are rolling in is really amazing. I've played just about every sport there is against these kids: Pee-Wee football, middle school football, rec league basketball, little league baseball, pick-up games. Each and every time I played these guys, I got beat. Terribly. And only twice have I played them when they've all been on the same team together (7th and 8th grade football). In 7th grade, we held our ground pretty well, but in 8th grade, I'm pretty sure the final score was around 42-0. Needless to say, Jake, Mike, Trey, and Steve have been at a whole other level from everyone else in Dublin (athletically speaking). Although I was never too good of friends with any of these kids on a personal level, I'm glad to say that when I'm in College watching an OSU game I can turn to my buddies and say "Yeah, I've played football against those guys."

Another (blue) chip falls into place... this is great news, the kids size/speed combo is jaw dropping... the offer sheet is something to write home about as well...
Blue chippers across the board... already turning into a heck of a nice class!! Welcome to the Buckeye family Jake!! |

I never get tired of hearing Past, Present and Future Buckeyes talk about beating Michigan. It still inspires pride every time I read it or hear it. Here's to plenty of Gold Pants for Jake!

Pfef's Sports Blog interview with Jake
Discusses the possibility of his playing WR and TE, Mike Adams, and a few other things. I also outline the commitments so far. |

Kudos on the recruitment on Jake. Sounds like he is going to be player. The Skers have two scholly offers out for OH kids. Stonebrunner and Beachum.
Is the OSU staff looking at him to be a potential TE or for him to be a big WR? |

I believe they told him if he gets to the 250-260 range then he'd be a TE, if he cant get that weight then they'll be splitting him out.

Would be a terror as a 6-5, 230lb WR with speed!

![]() with adams, brewster, shugarts, and possibly (likely?) jenkins blocking for you and with posey (6'3"), stoney (6'5"), and probably scott (6'4-5") catching your passes... umm... pryor, i think this is the place for you. oh, yeah. we have a pretty good basketball program, too. could you imagine a 6'6" quarterback throwing to 3 receivers who are almost as tall as he is? |

Has anyone seen the scout rankings?would you say they're a little off?Alot of the recruits weve signed so far are obvious 5 star players.
