Well if you have already conceded that Stoneburner's biggest assets are his size and the potential matchups that he would create as a receiver, why not just call him a receiver instead of insisting that he's a TE?
There are ways to use a WR to stretch the middle of the defense, even small WRs such as Gonzo.
I guess what I'm saying is that the kid is coming to here to catch football, whether you would like to call him a flex TE or a SE or whatever. We got glorified tackles disguised as TEs for blocking purposes.

I say this b/c with his frame he is going to be 250-260 before we know it...
Either way it is splitting hairs...We know what his greatest assests are...

He may well add another 15-20 pounds, which makes sense because he is 6-5, but it's a stretch to say at this point that he will be in the 250-270 range that you need to play TE. Keep in mind, he was listed as being 190 pounds just a couple of years ago. Also, to augment the case that he will be a TE, you need to demonstrate that he will be an effective blocker, and being able to block is not something that just comes with breaking the 250 pound weight mark. So far, Stoneburner has been used exclusively as a WR on offense.

Sorry to interrupt, but does it really matter if he plays TE or WR. I mean, he is going to play one or the other, but if he goes to Ohio State it won't matter which it is. Right?

It's a purely academic discussion. You will see plenty of this before the kickoff to the new season.

The kid is listed as 6'5", 220 (and who knows how old that info is), and he's barely halfway through his junior year in high school. It is far from a stretch to see him at a solid 6'6", 255-260 by his sophomore year in college.
