He somewhat feels like a separate category to me... Posey is a better pure WR, but Stoney is a nightmare matchup.

...and the scary thing is, he is not even close to being polished.

I'm just amazed how long it took to get the word out on him. I remember a few months back when people were doing their ohio rankings guesses most had posey around #22 or so. I always was higher on him based on his production and measurables, but it's cool to see how he's finally getting some hype after his highlights have gotten out in addition to his camp performances.
I wouldn't really compare him to TO however. The best skillset comparison I can think of is Robert Meachem, the Tennessee receiver who was recently drafted by the Saints. |

Sounds like he is a real talent who went under the radar for a while. With Posey, Stoneburner and potentially Scott, this could be one of the best WR classes we've had in a number of years. Couple that with perhaps our best OL class and the monster LB classes we've brought in, the future looks bright for tOSU.

Great video of the NJ combine. Posey gets NOTHING but praise and you get to see him in action. Thanks to Bukibill06 for the find.

Love the Marvin Harrison comparison...sneaky fast and all he needs is just a bit of seperation and he makes the catch. I think Farrell was dead on when he talked about how smooth Posey looked at the combine. He is just so fluid. If he doesn't at least get a nomination for the AA game out of this I would be somewhat surprised.

after watching the films of this kid he reminds me of a current buckeye. like you all said sneaky speed but very good routes. he looks like robiskie, close to the same height and the way they both run. looking foward to him in a buckeye uniform.

Nothing against robiskie, but especially comparing highlight reels at this point, he's way more fluid and explosive than Robiskie was at this point.
The bottom line is, you don't find 6'3 wide receivers who are this fluid. The Marvin Harrison comparison is good except Harrison is 6'0 175. I have no doubts he'll be a star here. |

Farrell wasn't comparing Posey to Harrison as far as size or frame goes.
The Posey/Robiskie comparison are easy to make because they are similar in height/weight (I was guilty of it initially too)...but they are totally different in their styles. |

Caught a glimps of him at the GCL track meet. there was some concern that he might have injured his knee in Wednesday's pre lims, but he came back on Friday with a 22 flat in the 200... jury timed. He was timed at 22.1 at the Roosevelt relays in Dayton, probably a more accurate timing there. MVP of the meet, which, given the quality of the GCL is a pretty good measure. He's not the fastest man on LaSalle's team in the 100, but he looks strong coming off the curve in the 200. there won't be too many folks that go stride for stride with him.
