Wasn't the only head-to-head between the two in a 400m Heat 1?
If so, Dane has the inside lane, and finished narrowly ahead of Posey - which put Dane in the finals, Posey spectating as 5th from Heat 1.

Yes, I believe that picture was from the preliminary heat on friday.

Also looks like the picture was taken on the backstretch (pole vault pit in the background gives me a frame of reference) so Posey appears to be ahead but the stagger of the lanes suggest he and Dane are approximately tied at that point. The guy on the lane just inside Posey already made up the stagger and has a significant lead on him (at that point in the race). |
