WR DeVier Posey (official thread)

I think Posey's recruitment could be interesting. He's attended a lot of UC functions and really seems to like it there and from my understanding, his best friend is Danny McElroy, a UC basketball commitment. I hope he chooses the Buckeyes if offered (rumors swirling that he has recently) but I really wouldn't be surprised if he chooses the Bearcats in the end. Could be a fun ride.

By BK... More on the Posey offer. DeVier says that Coach Hazell gave him a verbal offer and that his written one would arrive in the mail in a week or two. He doesn't plan on deciding early.

seems to be a common theme this year for us...even the guys that are very high on the bucks (considered "locks") and have received an early offer, are not in any hurry to make a decision.

I'd rather get a few studs in the fold early, so they can help the recruiting cause, but can't fault kids for enjoying the process (as long as they stay S&G)

Maybe the Ohio kids can get to talking and start talking about making this a great class, and verbal late, have late recruiting momentum and that could lead to some OOS studs...

From the Cincinnati site...the article gives a lot of hope to UC fans about their chances with Posey. He is friends with Adams and Stoneburner.

This kid is a stud. Got a gut feeling he'll pull the trigger soon for Ohio State. I'm sure they've explained to him they have limited offers and that with it being such a great year for in-state, regional, and national WR talent that scholarships at that position will be on a first come first serve basis.

I hear ya. Just seems like Posey keeps saying he has Ohio State ontop. If that is the case then you'd have to imagine that he'll pull the trigger once some of these other WR's start dropping. Ohio State can afford to put the pressure on an in-state kid in the situation they are in this season, and you have to imagine that if he really likes the Buckeyes as much as he says he does he'll pull the trigger sooner rather than later or else he runs the risk of being left out.
