As others have previously noted, in physique, Posey doesn't look like a "typical 400 runner" taller than other runners in the event, but much thicker especially in the lower body. On the last curve of the 400, it appeared he was fading ala Big Brown, but he just kicked up a gear on the straight and powered past the field. Great year for DeVier, can't wait to see him in scarlet and grey. |

DeVier doesn't have Ginn's speed, but let's face it, it'll be some time before anyone see's that kind of speed again, even in the SEC. |

Videos of all three finals for Posey:
100 (Lane 5) Coverage on Flotrack 200 (Lane 4) Coverage on Flotrack 400 (Lane 5) Coverage on Flotrack This was one of the best races I've seen in quite a while... Ryan Barber (Sophomore, Westerville South) and William Henry (Sophomore, Trotwood-Madison) had the lead coming off the second curve with Posey and Thomas Murdaugh (Senior, Dublin Scioto) a good 5-7 meters back... Posey made one of the strongest finishes I've seen at the high school level to win the title. The top 4 were all under 48 seconds... great finals. |

Dag.... Posey did what I figured Big Brown would have done yesterday.... just exploded at the end and blew past everyone.
Congrats DeVier |

Great kick by Posey to win the 400, what hunger, just a will to not be defeated, and the glowing comments about his leadership from his coach, wow. It is indeed a Golden age in tOSU football, with so many kids of great character and equally great abilities, I look forward to watching Devier develop over the next few years.
There should be some spirited competition when the groups split up into sprint groups, Small, Saine, Posey, Flash, not to mention some of the defensive burners, the Track coaches will be salivating. |

With Posey's athletic ability and obvious competitive drive it wouldn't surprise me to see him on the field early in the season. |

I would think the statement "He also won the Maxwell Award as the best high school wide receiver in America" would be suffciently explanatory...
