Perhaps JT is taking the time to play mind games with the media, I highly doubt it. He's got plenty of stuff on his plate as it is. They (media) don't have access to any practices during the season anyhow. I'm thinking that there is some substance to his irritation, along with a bit of a warning shot being fired off for next season.

My dad covered Nebraska football in the 90s when he was the lead sports writer for the paper in Omaha. He was not one of Osborn's favorite people because when Osbron would say at a press conference "this is off the record" my dad would shake his head at him and still write it in the papter. Anything done or said in front of the press should be fair game. If you don't want the press to give away a new strategy or play then don't show them it.

(Which is what I would have expected JT to do if he was actaully afraid that the press would release something vitally important. In the end I think it would be wise to put trust in Tressel that he knows what he's doing, because I'm sure he does.)
