Sorry to tell you, but Tressel has a rule, only seniors can be captains.

Except of course for Bill Brasky, who is definitely a shoe-in for captaincy.

I know that you guys are going to disagree with me, but I think it would fitting if Tressel gave some sort of role to Zwick. I love the guy to death, and although Troy is a much better QB, I wish the best for Zwick because he is truly a class act. Just a thought...

If that's true, then the guys the players can vote for is very limited, seeing as though I think it very unlikely they will vote a non-starter as a captain.
Offense (pick two):
T.Smith (a shoe-in)
White Jr.
Downing
Datish
Defense (pick two):
Richardson
Patterson
Pitcock
D'Andrea?
Kerr?
Mitchell?
A.Smith?

I want to say this in the most un-biased way(Since he is a Beechcroft Alum). Antonio Smith is a 5th year Senior. He has worked he's way up and now has a athletic scholarship. And at this point, he is slated to start. I think there is a good chance that he will become a captain.

Also it seems, that every year the way the selection goes is...
2 Guys on offense, 2 guys from defense.
Usually 1 guy(WR, QB, RB...) is choosen, and 1 offensive lineman.
Usually 1 DB, with the other being a LB or defensive lineman.
This is the way it seems to be, with the exception of Nugent in 2004.

Bill Brasky and Sid Finch. Oh well, just a couple days late with that one.

I think Terry Tate has a good shot alongside Brasky.

I actually agree with this and was thinking about it before I saw your post. Zwick has been a leader on this team since day 1 and it would be pretty unique and special to see him as captain given the situation.

I totally agree with everything that has been said about Zwick's character and with the statement that he deserves to be captain. However, I'm wondering if having two QBs as captains might undercut TS's a | |
