Tress Call in show today
Just a few tidbits (missed some of it)
D'Andrea is probably done for the year...should be having surgery soon
All six LB's will play alot (Freeman, James L., Kerr, Terry, Grant and Homan). All will play special teams except Homan who they are still trying to get healthy. But Homan will be in the two deep LB rotation. They are still not sure if they will redshirt Moeller or not. They don't want to waste a year on special teams but if they do play him they will be very comfortable with him on the field. Tress also pointed out Spitler and said he will be in the two deep on special teams.
All the DB's will play- Mitch and Patterson will start but Jamo will be rotated in early and often. Jamo will also play alot on special teams.
Pettrey will start at PK but Ryan P. has been kicking well in practice this week. This battle is far from over.
JRich and Hall were also interviewed but I missed some of it...I know JRich commented favorably about Larimore.
Tress also commented about the experience we have the team with 17 4 or 5 5th year seniors. He also discussed the walk-on's getting schollie's yesterday.
I probably missed alot- maybe someone could add more. It is actually still going on.

Jay talked about Wolfe a little bit. Had nothing but good things to say about him. Said Ray Small was their Garrett Wolfe in practice. Said Small is ridiculously quick(paraphrase), and that he did a great job of helping them to prepare for Wolfe.
Roy Hall talked about the versatility of the offensive personnel. Said Mo Wells is doing very well, Beanie will get a lot of touches and that Pittman is the hardest running running-back in college football. They also talked a little about Stan White too. If he hits as hard as they say he does, then I don't see a problem with us playing smash-mouth a little this year if we have to.
Coach Tressel talked about getting the young guys on defense to calm down and just take care of their assignments, and not try to do everything on every play.
I missed the end of the show, because my lunch was over, but it looks like the players are ready to start this thing.

When did ignorance become a point of view?

I'd really like to Stan White have a "break out" year. He is apparently a great kid; never has been in trouble, willing to switch positions for the team, has "paid his dues", and has performed in the classroom (i.e. already graduated). Also, his "old man" was a great Buckeye player too.
