6. While there are many places for partying, 6th street between i-35 and east of congress will be happening from thursday afternoon til sunday 2am. There are some more laid back bars on 6th street 1/2 mile west of congress. 4th and 5th street west of congress is called the warehouse district, a bit older crowd and less weirdos.

Sorry to call out your first post, but your so called "weirdos" are part of what make Austin, well Austin. Also, not trying to be too critical, but its "Touche," and if you are going anywhere for a flaming DP, go to Jaime's Spanish Village, its right next to Stubb's if you are going there. Better atmosphere.
6th Street is not really covered with weirdos anymore, especially on game weekends.
That weekend, almost all bars are going to be the same, filled with the same type of people. The bars will all be looking to make a buck, reading these articles with an estimate of 40K visitors from Ohio, so I wouldn't be too surprised to find cover charges.
