After seeing yesterdays game what games scare you now?
Before the season started i scared by the Texas game and the Iowa game maybe the scUM game. After seeing how porous our defense played against the run and how bad the tackling was Two more games scare me.
1. PSU- even though it is in Ohio stadium if they could get and early lead on us by running the ball and rely on their defense to win the game. 2. MSU- with that offense i think this game will be a huge shootout. Though we have some weeks for the defense to gel its up in east lansing and i always hate when the bucks play up there. |

The only thing that scares me is poor tackling and pursuit angles by Ohio State. We get those two situated, we'll be more than fine.

I respect your opinion, but MSU? They had to everything they could just win their game. Now they always seem to be pesky for OSU, but if anything I would have thought yesterday would have made you feel better about going up to MSU. Just kinda suprised me.

The same three that scared me before, Texas, Iowa and MSU. And MSU much less cause they barely beat Idaho, who finished near the bottom in every defensive ranking last year. I trust the coaches will be working hard to correct the pursuit angles and tackling problems we saw yesterday.

I don't know anyone who has written Texas off. Sure, many have displayed confidence but almost everyone I've talked to and from what I've seen on this board, Texas will be the biggest challenge of the year. As for the other challenges, they still the same: Texas, @Iowa, Penn State, scUM.

Nothings changed for me. Iowa, Texas, and Michigan State, in that order, where the ones I was worried about the most before the season began, and I don't think anything has changed after yesterday.
Tate's experience at QB and his scrambling ability is the only reason I have the Hawkeyes ahead of Texas at this point. Yesterday was like 2004 all over again. NIU put those screens and flares on film, and now every single opponent OSU plays will run that until the defense proves they've figured out how to shed blocks, work through traffic, and stop it. Iowa, UT, and MSU all have the ponies to run what NIU did, only better. |

texas: defending national champions with 16 returning starters.. plus at night in their place
iowa: first ever night game at iowa, the fans will be insane (similar to PSU last year) especially if we are still number one.. plus drew tate um: they will be playing to ruin our season and for carr's job.. it will be a very intense game, even if it results in a blowout (i think it'll be a 6 point game) |

Don't panic
Not really scared. The Defense played a lot of quality snaps. The big plays by Wolfe need to be addressed however. Although Wolfe is pretty tough, I imagine some of them had to be missed assignments. In addition, shedding blockers and tackling has to be better by the back 7.
In the 2nd Q - O'Neil #3 missed a tackle to hold the corner resulting in a nice run, then he missed a tackle on the very next play. He got knocked on his ass down field on that long run in the beginning of Q4. Hopefully he can clean it up. |

I am not scared of anything. I think that Texas, Iowa, and Michigan State will be concerning. If we win next week, I think that revenge against Penn State will be enough motivation to avoid any letdown and that going to Iowa, where we were pasted on our last visit, would be similarly motivating. Iowa, of course, has revenge on their mind for last year. I can't forget Tate's confusion and anger displays during that game.
All told, not scared but I think these three games are going to be tough. |

Texas and Iowa were the two games that always scared me, and they still do. If either was at home I'd expect to win, but on the road I'd say 50/50 is realistic.

Yea i now believe that the game next week is a toss-up, i was quite confident before i saw yesterdays game though. Hopefully our defensive kinks will be worked out on the practice field. A situation that may happen is the pressure on their freshman QB will make him play not as well and give us a defensive edge.
