IMO Charles is just about as good and he is going to be running behind a much better Oline. That has me concerned. Hopefully these young kids step up and let us get back to the silver bulletts of old. |

Our QB was missing open WR left and right. It wasn't all bend but don't break.
Your D is a concern going into the Texas game, but it will get better every week.

No he's not.
Wolfe put up 285 yards with average (at best) offensive line play, and a QB who had [censored] his pants after the INT.
There is not one player in the country who could have done what Wolfe did.

I beg to differ here. Your WR's were not open and he was under a lot of pressure all day.
I agree the D is a concern, but I don't think that coverage is a concern. |

Go back and watch the tape. There were people open. Britt Davis was (alone) open 4 times and didn't get the ball.
Part of the reasons Horvath didn't find the guys is because of the pressure on him. A more composed QB finds them. However a freshman making his 1st real start, probably won't be that composed.
Your gameplan was to fluster Horvath, and you accomplished that.

I seriously doubt our defensive playcalling for NIU will be the same as what we see for Texas.....but keep trying to squeeze a little bit of accomplishment out of that game GForce

What accomplishment am I trying to squeeze out of it? Your gameplan worked.
I could definately see you using a similar gameplan against a young, inexprienced QB.
