I had seen that. I wonder what they're seeing that I'm not.

I like that website. They were the only people (Fiutak) to pick Ohio State over Miami in the Fiesta. They like being a little different than ESPN and SI and they definitely put a lot more thought into what they write.
I think it's a little sucky they say Michigan's QB is going to dominate while ours' is inexperienced. WTF?

I totally agree with all of that. I tend to like their analysis the best - they go beyond the typical media hype and try to actually pick apart games.
That said, I am also getting really sick of people saying, "Ohio State has inexperience at QB" while also saying "Michigan will reload with another fine QB" or whatever. Our situtation may be better, and this points to either ignorance, as we both have inexperienced QBs that may be great, or simple minded favoritism for the past, as Michigan has tended to have good QBs.
This stuff kills me. . .

People base their current opinion on past events. It's human nature. Mi[censored]gan has a history of good QB play, so the assumption is that they will be fine. Our last few signal callers (with the notable exception of CK) have been a bit shaky out of the gate, if not for their entire careers...
That's all it is. Once we take the field, preseason predictions go right out the window. Our guys will do what they do best, and in November, we'll all see who's got the better team

People always judge the past and try to predict the future from it. In the stock market they've been saying that WalMart, Pfizer and General Electric are fantastical, blah blah and their 5 year average returns are abysmal- just waiting- no analysis- no common sense, no book value, no p/e judgement and I hate to see it going on at CFN because they usually are really good at seeing "into" things.
Before last season they saw Roethlisberger coming from 20 miles away and they were absolutely right about him, except when he played Iowa in the opening game.
Being fair and having bias are two different things and they're acting like analysts covering Pfizer, GE, and Walmart when it comes to Michigan QBs. They're more likely to be right then the stock analysts with regard to Michigan QB play, but they are drawing up Tressel next to Cooper as the CEO of OSU football when they make a comparison of QBs at Ohio State. Krenzel was rarely pretty (but he probably did remind a lot of us of Bernie, sometimes) but he was effective and he WAS NOT Tressel's recruit. This year will be the first year for us to see THE GUY that Tressel would pick from High School to college to run the show. I'm pragmatic, so it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that we're going to begin experiencing the high quality QB play that michigan has grown accustomed to seeing on the field.

I've always liked CFN. They always seem to do a much more in depth preview than any of the other main websites.
With all our 'greenness', that 9-2 record looks about right, but I do wonder how we can be 9-2 and only ranked 14, or how Wisky can be 9-2 and ranked 21. That's hard to believe a 9-2 team can be ranked that low.
If we're 9-2, then I'm assuming they have us losing to Mich. If thats the case, then we have to be 9-1 going into that game. If we're 9-1, we have to be ranked no lower than 6. I can't see how losing to them would drop us that many spots.
Ok, I'm being anal, I'll end it here.

Just out of curiosity
Why is it such a big deal to think that our QB will have an easier transition then yours. We have a better OL and the best WR core in the nation which I'm sure had a little impact on their thinking.
