There is the thought that we've been going to smaller, faster LBs to help defend the spread.
This guy seems to fit that mold.

When you have a 4.47 speed and know how to play LB.. I don't think 2-3 inches matter much.

I'd say it has worked out okay for guys like Buster Davis, Ernie Sims, London Fletcher, Jamie Winborn, Gary Brackett, Zach Thomas and Dexter Coakley. Not one of them is over six feet tall. Brian looks like the same kind of tackling machine as those types of guys...undersized but absolute demons in pursuit. |
