What has happened to offensive holding calls?
What has happened to the holding call? Have the rules been changed? Or are refs being coached not to call offensive line holding?

I agree. I remember a couple of plays this past week where Kudla was absolutely raped, and nothing was called. Bullshit.

Ive been thinking the same thing lately, some holds are just so obvious and easy to see that it pisses me off. If I can see it on the tv, then the officials down there should at least see half of them.

Missed holding calls have gone way up this year. Maybe they want to let the kids play more idk. At least they're being consistent...err in a bad way

It is happening at all levels. In all reality, holding could be called on almost every play...anymore, it seems as if it depends on how obvious it is or if it has a direct effect on the play.
I agree completely though...it is a very inconsistent call.

Against SDSU, I watched Carp get held so bad that it spun him around and to the ground...yet it wasn't called.

Guys, this has been going on for years. Like Grad says, holding occurs on every play. What makes them call it? Who knows? I hate to say it, but it certainly opens up the door for fixing a game if you really wanted to.
On a side note, I don't think the Patriots have been called for holding since the 2000 season. Why do you think Brady does so well?

I understand that you can call holding on almost every play, but when you see a blocker pulling the defenders jersey from behind and getting away with it, its ridiculous.
