Covering The Spread - Streak
History in the making?
The Buckeyes own a 12 game winning streak, longest in the nation. More remarkable is the fact that they have covered the spread in each and every one of those games.
Is this the longest streak of covers by any College team, ever?
Just consider. Had you placed a bet at the beginning of this streak of say $1,000, then rolled over your ante and winnings each and every week, you would now have in hand $4,096,000.
Next week they will likely be called on to pound Bowling Green. The spread may be a stretch, as it will likely be placed in the high twenties, low thirties.

beating the spread will end at Bg UNLESS Wells gets over 100 yards, which will mean that Pittman has well over 100.

Thinking back to the Penn St. game, how many people were probably very excited/ [censored]ed when Smith took that pick back to the house late in that contest? That would be such a tough call to bet OSU every game, knowing the fact that Tressel doesn't run the score up on opponents, especially his Big Ten counterparts.

Huh? What leads you to that decision........BG's dynamic secondary?
They are 14th in the nation against the pass, but then again that is because they are 101st against the run.......teams haven't had to pass against them, because their run d is so bad.
I'd say we'll be able to score however we want to against the Falcons.

If we score so much that pittman is taken out of the game, which would mean we ahead by , say 28, then the scoreing would stabilize and we would not cover the spread UNLESS wells goes for 100 or so or thereabouts which would mean he score 2 or three more times and we would cover the spread.
Im assuming that the spread wil be about 35

Tressel has also shown that he isn't afraid to throw the ball when they are up. They did that against Cincy, long after Troy was out of the ballgame. He wants to continue to get those young guys reps, and keep the backup QB's sharp.
