Oh my !!!!
I was at the 95 Michigan game in Ann Arbor great road trip ruined by a horrible defeat. I went with a buddy of mine. We had big plans to cross the border and celebrate after the game, instead we just got in the car and made the sad trip home and got plowed all night. I was in shock!!! I scalped a ticket for 80.00. I have to admit the Michigan fans treated us prettty well until the game ended!!! When the game ended the walk out to the car was little ugly but I had expected worse. I can also say the Michigan fans had no confidence before the game kept asking us about our players and saying things like we just hope we can keep it close. They then started to really go nuts around the 3rd quater and I kept saying there is time but really was no time. OSU did make a late rally but too little too late.
I also went to the Michigan State game in 1998. I have never heard the stadium so quiet. I went to this game with my Dad and was the last one we have gone to together. I had a bad feeling about this game from the kickoff even after we had gained the lead. We kept having freaky bad luck the whole
game just everything that could go wrong did. I remember the student in front of me burned his student ticket which still had the Michigan ticket on it!!! I tried to stop him but he was so distraught. I do remember this kid who was visiting Columbus from the University of Alabama. I think he was a frat brother
of a OSU frat kinda like a exchange thing if I remember correct. He was really trying to get the crowd fired up in the 4th...He kept saying come on you guys this is your team get off your A$$!!! It was embarrassing how the crowd was so quiet until Joe almost brought us back!!!!! then it got loud again. I taped the game but have not brought myself to watch it all the way through. I can't believe I have been to 2 of the worst OSU losses. The Michigan State game was like a funeral. I also remember sitting there watching the MSU players celebrating on our field taunting our fans. I have hated Plaxico ever since!!!!! He got me again this year in my Fantasy Football championship. I remember walking to the car and students had already started pulling a sofa off a porch on one of the side streets. My Dad kept saying it was going to get ugly..BAD MEMORIES but yet I have some really great moments as well. Go Bucks!!!!!

I just noticed this thread and I agree with the outcome.
The 1998 Bucks were the best fucking team in the country - spare me undefeated Tee Martin and Tennessee. The second half John Cooper play-not-to-lose brain fart and total team collapse against MSU really hurt, especially when the pollsters did their usual reward the team who lost in September schtick, and sent an undermanned Seminoles squad to play UT while we stomped the shit out of Texas A&M in New Orleans.
Not only were the Bucks better than FSU, I would've bet my paycheck on 'em versus the "national champions" from Tennessee. The only saving grace was I got to attend the Penn State and Michigan ass-kickings, live and in person, in the Shoe.

We all know in 1998 OSU had the best team. Yet I think the main problem was turnovers, not the play calling. I can still see those last two passes falling incomplete near the goal line (I think that's how it ended, I drank alot in those days). That did suck. I pointed to that year ever since their killer recruiting class. Although the Shawn Springs slip really blew also. Man, that was a sunny November day and we drank from 9PM the night before right up until game time. No sleep! Kegs and Eggs! Partying until the Bucks beat Michigan!. Talk about downer. Completely hung over on top of a horrible loss.

I've never once thought the defense (or the Tai Streets touchdown) had anything to do with that loss. When you were mowing down people with that line like we were that year and you post 3 field goals in The Game (sound familiar Michigan fans?), you deserve to lose. I voted for 1996.
Only one Earle Bruce-coached game on the list. Guess there's something to say about modest expectations.

Sorry fellas....
I was at the 1996 game in Cols. I always thought I jinxed us. My first game. Then I went to the Fiesta Bowl, the '03 SDSU game, that Will Allen interception, was right in front of me. Then the 05' Game. I was right there for all the action. I realized that '96 game wasn't my fault. Now I'm good luck.

Having graduated from tOSU in 1962, I remember and suffered through them all but I voted for the loss to the Air Force in 1990.
We lost to a putz team in a putz bowl.
This proud football program couldn't have sunk any lower.
