Last game at Ohio Stadium!
I just wanted to give a BIG Buckeye THANK YOU to all those seniors who will be playing their last game at Ohio Stadium this week against Purdue. We as fans expect the best from our team. Sometimes we expect too much. Rest assured that at the end of the day, we all realize that you are young men who have given your very best for Ohio State and us, the Fans. We can only begin to thank you for the long hours and effort you have put in to make us all proud. Thanks for choosing to become Buckeyes. Go out and beat Purdue with your last game on the field at Ohio Stadium.

Edit: Special Mention to Ivan Douglas and Richard McNutt. I believe they have both played their final games as Buckeyes. There is a slim chance they could return, but that is highly improbable. My apologies for overlooking them.
Edit: Another mention to Chris Gamble. Probably 50/50 on staying or going.
Edit: Mike Kne moved to Sr/Jr in eligibility. It has been brought to my attention that he is almost assuredly a Junior in eligibility even thought the OSU web site lists him as a senior in that area.

My hat is off to these guys. They have given us so many wonderful memories. In turn they have also gained much. For the rest of their lives they will know that they are . . .

Looking over the list of seniors, the only ones I can't recall ever seeing on the field over the last two seasons are Culver, Graef, Turano, and Young. I know that Lee and Otis have played, and I think that I've seen Luke on the field (not totally sure, though). I hope that we get far enough ahead in the Purdue game so these guys that have never played a down get at least a snap or two near the end.

Turano probably wont get a chance to play because he is a kicker/punter. I remember going to a Kilbourne game where he kicked a 60 yarder.

Mike Young got a couple snaps against Northwestern. Never got a ball thrown his way. Nice guy though, he's been in a few of my classes.

WOW! gbear is right. Will we be able to field a team next year?
Also, we probably will need to add Chris Gamble to the list as playing his last game here. As much as I am against the early entries, I really would harbour no ill-feelings toward Chris if he goes this year. He is a bona-fide first round pick, and on top of being a great player he is a great kid who seems ready to earn a big paycheck and take care of those around him. I always resented guys like Katzenmoyer, Ross, Glenn, and others who left early. Just felt like they used the program to boost their NFL careers. Now, we have seen the likes of Doss, Jenkins, Scott, Smith, coming back for that senior year. I hope Chris stays, but I hope more that he gets his second NC this year and can leave on those terms. Or better yet, get the second NC and come back for a third!
In all corniness, this group of kids that we are going to say goodbye to this year are so special it damn near (no it does) bring a tear to my eye. They have re-invigorated me as a Buckeye fan (like I really needed it). If they can just keep it all together for the next two weeks and play their game, they will be victorious. Whether that equates to a Sugar Bowl remains to be seen. They can only control their own wins and losses. Three more wins this season would be the type of stuff that legends are made of. This group certainly has the "sack" to pull it off.
Thanks for everything guys. But, I'm greedy, so GIMME SOME MORE!!!

Interesting that 10 of this group are Cooper recruits and 9 of them started for the Bucks this year. I included BJ.
It kind of sneeks up on you and all of a sudden they are gone. But never forgotten. This has been a great group of Buckeyes.
Good luck to all of them.
