Cosign... plus it's nice to see Jim Jackson in the studio for analysis/commentary.

Not according to Comcast / Putting Fans First ....
The BTN has "stolen" games away from the cable viewer and will still be showing the Big Ten tournament (allegedly)

I am fortunate to have DirecTV and get the Big 10 Network, but I can't understand why Time Warner and the network can't come to some sort of agreement. Big Ten fans have waited a long time for a network like this and most fans can't get it because the largest cable company in the country can't come to a compromise. I can tell you that I enjoy alot of the programming on the network. Friday Night Tailgate is a good way to get ready for football Saturday's, and the rebroadcast of classic games is a great way to pass time when there are no live sports on. The network has some work to do but it is doing okay so far with the exception of it's availability to the fans it was created for.

NETWORK TO AIR NATIONAL SIGNING DAY SPECIALS
Fueled by months, and sometimes years, of speculation and controversy, National Signing Day is the most anticipated day in college football. No single event has a greater effect upon the fates of football programs and the fortunes of coaching staffs.
The Big Ten Network will delve into the recruiting process, present expert analysis and unveil video highlights of the Big Ten's newest student-athletes with three editions of BIG TEN TONIGHT: SIGNING DAY SPECIAL: - A live 90-minute show beginning at 5:30 PM ET Wednesday, Feb. 6;
- A 60-minute edition of BIG TEN TONIGHT later that evening with additional analysis;
- And a live 60-minute show on at 6 PM ET on Thursday, Feb. 7.
"These shows will allow Big Ten fans to look into the crystal ball and see the future of their favorite team and their archrivals," Big Ten Network coordinating producer Quentin Carter said.
Wednesday's programs will include portions of university press conferences, interviews with Big Ten coaches and instant analysis. On Thursday, Big Ten Network experts will closely examine each school's recruiting class and evaluate how each team addressed its most immediate and long-term needs.
Hosts Dave Revsine and Rick Pizzo will be joined by Big Ten Network analysts Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith, Chris Martin and national recruiting experts Bob Lichtenfels of Scout.com and Tom Lemming of CSTV.

It's not like I'm not getting [censored]ed at the time it has taken TW to do what they need to do, but if you've been with them for any length of time you know how slow they are to give a rat's ass about the consumer. If I don't have BTN by July there'll be a dish on my chimney.
Have to wonder what would have happened had the bucks won in NO.

I caught the Big Ten Tonight show last night and was shocked to see Lemming on the program. I am very interested in seeing how he covers signing day without his beloved ND.

Been there, done that. It was a great day when I told TW to go pound salt. Nice to see they're still slow to change. They were never slow to increase prices every January.
I love DirecTV and the BTN.

... And for what it's worth. In order to get the BTN in HD you need the upgraded dish. This was done for free for us, and I assume that it's a free upgrade to at least all HD subsribers. Being in Chicago with Dish Network for a few years and then a switch to DTV I've always dreaded the winter snow / weather cutting out the signal. With the new dish (it's the oval one btw), and one of the worst winters for snow in recent memory here in Chicago... we've never lost signal. The installers said that we should expect to see better signal in bad weather, but I'd have never expected to see this.
Best,
