About 4 or 5 years ago I remember reading something about a few MAC and WAS teams that were playing on random tuesday and Wednesday nights. The comment was that it was good for the school because they were getting national air time, and it was good for the station, because they were showing something that was getting allot better ratings then showing billiards or some other random show.

Why is it that people feel the BTN owes them anything? They are there to make money....and some of that profit actually even goes back to the schools. You have options of how you can see the Ohio State games....you have known about these options for almost a year. If you haven't made changes yet, that is your fault not the BTN's

And you could still count on watching the Buckeyes when there was only 3 to 4 stations. I know they are there to make money but they try and act as if it will help the fans. They aren't some Goodwill charity to me and they should just let the cable companies carry the game even if they are going to charge more on a sports tier. DISH just did it, so why can't Time Warner now? Yes you have options if you have money. We save a ton on having TW for cable, phone, and internet...a lot of money. We will have to pay a lot extra to get any other cable provider that is an "option" for the BTN network. So here is the deal...you pay for my "options" and I will quit acting as if "they owe me anything". Not my fault.

No you couldn't. Before the massive amounts of channels/options, the Buckeyes would not have had some of their weak first games televised. I've been to Big Ten games at the 'Shoe that were not televised. No television options were available for those games. Go to the game or listen to it on the radio. That's it. I don't agree with all of the tactics that these people use, but the options are there now, where they weren't before. I can pretty much guarantee that the Buckeyes will never again have an untelevised game. Something that couldn't be said 10-15 years ago.

Is Time Warner going to have a package this year for the BTN?

9-13-1997, I do believe, was the last game in which Ohio State played and was not televised. I know this because I went to that game - against Bowling Green - precisely because it was not televised.
