This is from the ESPN Gameplan page:
"See the most college football every Saturday with up to 12 games per week featuring key matchups and rivalries from top conferences, including: ACC, Big 12, Big East, SEC, PAC-10, MAC, Sun Belt and WAC."

I've given this a little thought. I think there are only possible ABC games this year given our ranking and schedule as follows with Notes:
@TSUN: Game will be national, nuff said
@Penitentiary State: Already picked up for national coverage during the evening time slot (which is what makes this game so scary to me)
vs Wisconsin: Don't know yet
Here's the game slate for the Badger week. Using pre-season rankings it is the easily the highest rated game and may very well be picked up for a night game. This also would be really the only good chance for Gameday to visit the Shoe. At the most these 2 teams should come in with a combined 2 losses which should keep these teams at or near the top 10. This should be a strong candidate for the evening game. Other candidtates:
#25 Texas A&M at #8 Oklahoma( Biggest competition IMO, but if TAMU is overrated to start out the season, a distinct possibilty, this game plays 2nd fiddle (this one would hurt me if they split coverage because I'm in OKC)
#2 LSU at Alabama (If Bama's any good + Saban vs. old team)
#4 Texas at Oklahoma State (If Okie starts out the season well)
#19 Florida State at Boston College ( just throwing it out there, but I don't think so)
Oregon State at #1 USC (already scheduled at 8pm EST but no TV coverage set as of yet, also Beavers handed USC loss last year)
#5 Michigan at Michigan State (rivalry game, but limited national exposure for MSU)
Also note that #14 UCLA at Arizona is scheduled to be shown for the 3:30PM time slot on ABC and ND is playing at home and thus will be on NBC. For you Va Tech plays on Thursday night that week. I believe that Wisky @ OSU game has a fairly decent shot of being televised nationaly during primetime. The added bonus is this is one of the games everyone wanted to see last year. What I don't know is if they split coverage is if BTN will pick up the slack. Also of note ESPN games are almost never regionally televised and therefore if picked up by ESPN(or 2) it will be shown.

So for the people in Columbus with cable, they are going to miss just the first 2 games. Or is there a chance they could end up missing more?

Yes, because if you have a cable company that is not going to have the BTN, not only can you not watch it in your house, but you can not go to the stadium and try to buy a ticket, and you can not go to a sports bar that is showing the game, so you are SOL.

These mouth-breathers act like there's not a hundred sports bars in every town that don't have DirecTv or friends and family who may have direct TV.
