Dave Revsine was on local ESPN radio last night:

* BTN has a 20 year contract so eventually the cable networks will pick it up.

* OSU is very good, B10 is a 3 team race.

* PSU disappointed them when they visited practice

Again ...

BTN has a 20 year deal so it will be added to systems sooner rather than later because they can't "wait this out".

Sorry I'm late to this mess, but this certainly makes the ESPN PPV Gameplan a colossal waste of time with no Big Ten games...though we can certainly get that all-important Gardner-Webb/Ohio matchup

FYI, I happened to eat dinner at the Fox and the Hound tonight, and I made sure to ask them if they would have the BTN station and the game on Saturday. The waitress checked with the manager and we she came back, she assured me they would have the game on Saturday. At a minimum, it should be a solid backup plan for Saturday.

Meanwhile, some central Ohio fans are only now realizing that WBNS-TV (Channel 10) will not carry OSU football games not shown on ABC or one of the ESPN networks. Viewers continue to contact Channel 10 to ask why the games will not be aired, said Tom Griesdorn, president and general manager.
"There will be many, many people Saturday at a quarter 'til 12 who will tune in to Channel 10 and the 'Oh, (bleep)' factor will kick in," he said.

(You have to put in your zip and set service provider to D* to see the line-up, then change day to Saturday - presently it only shows the channels, no programming information).

Still I'm not happy that it is being bumped for App. State vs. TSUN. Hope the guide updates tonight to show me the channel I need to record. (I'll be off out of town this weekend).

The overflow channels are 218, 219, and 221. They already are visible on my receiver. If you don''t know which overflow channel the OSU game is on before you leave for the weekend, just set your DVR to ch 220 at 3am for the replay of the game.

No such guarantee from cable providers.

I just contacted DirecTV, and they said they will have overflow channels that are available to all Total Choice subscribers (this is the lowest-tier package, so essentially all DirecTV subscribers). The channels are not being shown on TV listings yet (only 220 appears), but channels 218, 219, and 221 will appear on listings and will be broadcasting come Saturday, September 1st. Basically, if you have DirecTV, you will get all 4 BTN games.

I just officially switched to DirecTv, which will be installed Sep. 7. My current Dish contract is up 5 days from now, so there are no cancellation fees period. Included in my package is the NFL Sunday Ticket and all the premium channels (+250 altogether) for actually less than what my current Dish bill just jumped to. After 4 months, my promotion ends and it would jump to $89.99 (she "gave" me a $10 off per month bonus) and at that time I am free to switch to any programming lineup I choose. NFL Sunday Ticket! I absolutely can't wait!

Call me superstitious, but I don't like recording replays - I need to know which overflow channel will host tOSU and YSU live.

I don't have it...But you're probably right now that I think about it. They probably pick a "game of the week" and put it on 220, then just assign the others to whichever overflow, regardless of region.
