Man, judging by the people posting on here and outraged Big Ten fans not on here, TWC is losing customers over this! LOTS...

Eh, not so much that they're compelled to accept BTN's terms. So, I'd say "lots" is overstated. Remember, TW is the same group that went toe to toe with Sinclair for 3 years.

So a couple of questions on this.
If I happen to live in Indiana and I want to watch the Buckeyes, how do I get that game and not the Boilers or Hoosiers if they are on at the same time? If I go to Direct TV to get the BTN, then do most of you keep cable for your internet provider? Direct TV quotes me ~$70 a month for the first 4 months, but they don't give you a clue as to what it goes to after that. What are folks experiences with the price increase at that time? |

I switched to ATT dsl for internet. It was only $10 compared to Comcast's $60. ![]() Directv's plans start at $49.99. The $69.99 price you are paying for the first 4 months is for 4 equal payments for NFLST, and they are giving you premiere package for free which is usually $99.99 per month. |

Me neither, had to add it for $10. Still, $25 ($10+$10+taxes) beats $60 everytime.

DISH update
DISH has added 5 new channels and are currently testing them (439-443). It is unclear whether or not they will be for BTN, but the rumors are pointing that way. BTW, there will be exactly 5 Big Ten games on Saturday. (source: satelliteguys.us ; dbstalk.com)

I think a lot of this has to do with how the Big10 got the channel moving and the timing. If they had kept the games on gameplan this year, running alongside the BTN and next year went full force BTN there would not be nearly the problems they are having now. As it stands everyone here at work with Cox is really irritated by not being able to see their games, especially with the epic upset that happened over the weekend.
Personally, I think when it's all up and going it will be great for fans, no more needing to pay extra to see all the games with gameplan or having to deal with "well, this game is more exciting so we're jumping over to it" that I have had to deal with in the past. |

that and this board is a fairly narrow demographic. many of the posters on this board would be willing to pay 20+ bucks to watch a single game on tv. so im not sure that jives with the average ohioan's mindset.
