Your Buckeye Game Record
So after I was able to witness the kick ass preformance today against Indiana, I got to thinking... I wonder what my overall record is when I'm at the shoe watching the buckeyes. So after scraping together my old ticket stubs, that I could find... here's how the bucks preform when I'm in attendance:
9/7/96 vs. Rice W 70-7 9/25/99 vs. Cincinnati W 34-20 10/9/99 vs. Purdue W 25-22 9/23/00 vs. Penn State W 45-6 10/13/01 vs. Wisconsin L 17-20 (the famed game where the fans booed Bellisari) 10/12/02 vs. San Jose State W 50-7* 9/13/03 vs. N.C. State W 44-38 (3 OT)* 9/20/03 vs. Bowling Green W 24-17 9/11/04 vs. Marshall W 24-21* (Nuge pulls it out for us with the game winning FG) 9/10/05 vs. Texas L 22-25 10/15/05 vs. Michigan State W 35-24* 9/2/06 vs. Northern Illinois W 35-12* 9/23/06 vs. Penn State W 28-6 10/21/06 vs. Indiana W 44-3* 9/1/07 vs. Youngstown State W 38-6 10/20/07 vs. Michigan State W 24-17 11/3/07 vs. Wisconsin W 38-17* 8/30/08 vs. Youngstown State W 43-0* 9/6/08 vs. Ohio W 26-14* 11/22/08 vs. Michigan W 42-7* 9/12/09 vs. USC L 15-18 9/26/09 vs. Illinois W 30-0* * Games attended with my brother So basically I only average 1-2 games a year, but to note, I have been to more games, yet I don't have the ticket stubs for anything pre-1999. I can only remember being at the Rice game, but also I think I might have been to another Wisky loss sometime around then. Anyways thats when I was but a little tike, and since then me and my brother have been to most of those games up there together and in fact, when I'm with my bro, I haven't been to a loss (knock on wood!) Anyways, here's some fun statistics: Overall Record: 19-3 Big Ten Record: 9-1 Games with My Bro: 11-0 Current Win Streak: 1 in a row Record in August: 1-0 Record in September: 11-2 Record in October: 5-1 Record in November: 2-0 OSU vs. Opponents score: 753-299 Big Ten Opponents I've Seen: Michigan, Purdue, Penn State (2X), Wisconsin (2X), Michigan State (2X), Indiana, Illinois Big Ten Opponents I Still Need to See: Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern So, what is your overall buckeye record when your at the shoe? But if you are convinced that depriving yourself of a live view of the event makes you their good luck charm in absentia so be it. ![]() I cannot recount all of them as did the thread starter, one thing stands out for me. The first three times I saw the Buckeyes - they lost. saw them live first in 1980 they played UCLA (OOC Pac10 games were de riguer back then) lost 17-0 same year saw them play Michigan - they lost 9-3 the next game was Stanford - 1982 - they went down 23-20. By now even the wife was getting concerned. The Buckeyes got off the snide with me as a spectator when I got to see them play Northwestern (ah, yes the days when Northwestern was the automatic palliative for Buckeye fan whose winning streak was dry) this was the '83 game - which they won emphatically 55-7. Since when I have never been to a Buckeye game which they did not win. Last edited by sandgk; 10-21-2006 at 10:27 PM. Reason: That Stanford score was 23-20 |

Let me think here....
12-2 the two losses were Wisconsin in 1999 and again in 2001....(maybe it was Wisconsin in 2000 - I was on midshift at the time and I have some blanks in my memory).... I'm 1-0 for Michigan games and 3-0 for Penn State games.... Last edited by BuckeyeMike80; 10-21-2006 at 10:37 PM. Reason: edited for clarity in case I got the years wrong |

So far I have never attended a Buckeye loss. Its hard for me to remember the ones in the early 90's, I was only about 5. But I know my Dad took me to Minny, and another team possibly Missouri. Then in 98 I saw them trounce Minny again. Then my Dad got stationed in Phx. and our attendence really dropped until 02. We went to the NC game, following years opener against Cincy, Fiesta Bowl against Kansas State, Alamo Bowl against Ok. State, and last years Fiesta Bowl against ND. Im in school in Indiana and in two weeks he's flying in and were going to Illinois game. And when The Ohio State University goes to the national championship this year we'll be there also. Still am patiently waiting to attend my very first michigan game, oh what a day it will be.

Man, I can't even remember all of the wins..........though I think the first game that I watched was Indiana back in 1993. I was a young pup back then, but I remember the police hitting the students with Tear gas. Great stuff!
The first loss that I ever witnessed live was the Wisconsin game in 2004, with the 2nd being Texas last year. I'd estimate that my all time record is something like 16-2. |

24-2 (26-2 if you count bowls, which were all but home games). Only losses were Texas '05 and Wisconsin '04. First game was WSU in 02 (Big Mo's best rushing day). I couldn't have picked a better time to bet at school here.
