BCS Games
I noticed that aside from the Rose Bowl, all the BCS games are to be
televised by Fox. I've seen their [censored]ty coverage on FSN college football, but have never seen any on their main network. Will they be the first games they cover this year?
I've always like ABC's coverage of bowl games. I'm not so sure how Fox'
coverage will work.
Can I assume we'll be hearing Joe Buck?

Expect it to look more like Fox's NFL and MLB broadcasts than FSN stuff.
Let's just hope they don't put an ad for Ally McBeal over the front of JT's sweater vest.

Well they had the Cotton Bowl last year. It wasn't too horrible and I couldn't tell you about Joe Buck...

If you don't like the commentators, turn the volume off and turn on the radio. I guess that only works if you're in Ohio. Or if you have Sirius. Unless XM also has Ohio State games.
Or, just go to the BCS games.

Their coverage wasn't too bad during the Cotton Bowl...I can't remember who announced it, I wanna say Thom Brennamen was in the booth, but I'm not at all sure...I'll bet they get some of their NFL guys this year

Actually Barry Alverez will be involved. From some of the interviews I've heard him do recently he might not be that bad. At least Buck is not part of their "primary" crew....
Fox's BCS broadcast team: Brennaman, Alvarez and Davis
Associated Press
Former Wisconsin coach Barry Alvarez, former Tennessee defensive back Charles Davis and veteran play-by-play announcer Thom Brennaman will make up the lead broadcasting crew for Fox Sports' Bowl Championship Series coverage.
The trio will call the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1, and the BCS title game on Jan. 8.
"I'm fired up," Alvarez said in a statement Tuesday. "I knew I would miss the game action when I retired from coaching, but I can't think of a better or bigger way to stay as close to the game than this. The hardest thing is waiting until January because I am ready to go now." Alvarez retired as the Badgers' coach following last season. In 16 years at Wisconsin, Alvarez had a 108-70-4 overall record. He is still Wisconsin's athletic director.

This will be one of very few times that he will be present for an Ohio State victory. The guy seemed to have Ohio State's number.
